In this episode of Impetus Digital‘s Fireside Chat, I sat down with Eugene Borukhovich, Chairman & COO of YourCoach.Health, to discuss his transition from Global Head of Digital Health at Bayer to full-time entrepreneur. We also talked about YourCoach’s mission, the impact of COVID-19 on accelerating the uptake of digital technologies, and how the recent pandemic has affected the ways health coaches interact with their clients.

Q: Can you tell us about what YourCoach Health does? What are the services and products you are providing?
A: At the core of it, and for the healthcare listeners, think of YourCoach Health as practice fusion for health and wellness coaches. Health and Wellness coaches have gotten a lot of tailwinds, but really, the industry has been there for about 15 to 20 years.
It’s a practice management solution on one side, and we, as a young startup, officially incorporated YourCoach Health in January of this year. We’re exploring other business models surrounding it. Basically, it is a marketplace between clients and coaches. On one side, they use the platform to manage their business on a daily basis, everything from administrative components; things like taking payments, task management, and video messaging. On the other side, the more they practice with their existing clients, the more work they would have potentially available to them based on a number of components.
Q: Would you say that YourCoach Health is almost like Amazon or Shopify where it is acting as a marketplace between clients and coaches?
A: We are a bit of a marketplace. It’s one of the models that we’re exploring now. Again, on one side, we have been laser-focused on providing the best experience possible to the health coaches. As Marina [Eugene’s wife and the CEO of YourCoach.Health] always says, the moment people start using the platform, she really wants it to become their home in managing their client. Yes, it’s becoming more of a marketplace, but we are exploring a number of models on the client-side…
